Can I Change My Agent?

After you engage with a Migration Agent, it’s possible that problems can develop and your relationship can break down. So, the answer to the question, Can I change Migration Agent? is “yes”. In many cases, the usual Retainer Agreement (Contract) in migration cases contains a provision that the client can terminate the contract, but that the Migration Agent has the right to bill the client for the work done to the date of termination, and the right to require payment of the bill at that time. The contract, may also contain provisions that until the bill is paid, the Agent has a right to retain the file and documents until all bills are paid in full. This is an important consideration before you change Agents.
